Married to the love of my life, mom of two children (Calvin and our “fur child”, Lucy) and entrepreneur at heart, I have had the honor of serving in the financial services industry over the last 8 years.
My intrigue and passion for risk management, investments, and retirement planning resulted from an unexpected experience in 2014. As the youngest of 6 children, work ethic, excellence, and “treating people the right way”, were all infused in my DNA. Having an older brother who excelled in everything he pursued, personally and professionally, provided me with a role model with which to follow. After a devastating cancer diagnosis in 2014, my brother left this earth that same year, leaving a wife and 5 little girls. Excellent planning allowed Matthew’s family to maintain their lifestyle, providing for the future of each of my nieces. Seeing the impact of planning firsthand, my purpose was made clear, beginning my journey of educating individuals on the importance of preparation, as well as effective strategies for life’s expected and unexpected events. Understanding the experiences that have shaped the lives of the individuals I work with, their stories, and who they truly are, is an honor and joy.
Continued education through the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) and CLU (Certified Life Underwriter) designations, has provided the knowledge to holistically guide my clients through their financial story. My code of ethics as a Fiduciary, acting solely in the best interest of clients, provides individuals with the education needed to make informed prudent decisions.
In my spare time, I love giving back to organizations such as Fostering the Family, Safe Alliance, St. Jude, and Local Animal Shelters. Standing up for those you do not have a voice, providing opportunities to women and children who have been in abusive situations, and rescuing our fur friends, are some of the causes I am most passionate about.
