Melissa’s entire career has been rooted in providing high quality client service, maintaining administrative processes, and serving as the go-to person who keeps an office operating efficiently.

She began her career focused on patient care as a CT Technologist. After nearly 20 years in this health care role, she pivoted into insurance. In 2017, she became a Loss Control Technician at Sompo, a global provider of commercial and consumer property, casualty, specialty insurance, and reinsurance.

Melissa joined the Emerald Financial Group team in 2026.

Melissa was born and raised in North Carolina and has a hard time imaging herself anywhere else. She loves the beauty and nature the state offers – especially her family’s favorite beach in Cherry Grove – as well as the opportunity to live a country life that’s quiet, peaceful, and shared with down-to-earth neighbors.
